What kind of Shark is this?

What kind of shark is this? Looks like a decomposed Tiger Shark, about 6-7 feet.
This is the Pointe Coupee parish side of the Atchafalaya river near Simmsport, about 20 miles upriver from New Roads. I had heard rumors about sharks making it up the river that far, but always thought they were bullshite.
So I guess the follow up question is if you think this photoshopped or if sharks actually do make it that far north.

I’m guessing bull if it’s that far north.

Looks like a bull shark. Not saying it is, but it could be legit.

Bull sharks have been observed as far north as St Louis and Illinois.

There have been bull sharks caught farther upriver than St Louis.

That's crazy.
So your vote is Bull shark? The tail fin looks long for a Bull shark, but maybe it's deformed or folded behind the tail.
ETA: A relative from the area told me that Simmsport fisherman would catch Bull sharks somewhat frequently. So it's likely a Bull Shark with a weird/deformed tail fin.
Yet another reason not to go swimming in anything connected to those rivers.

Looks like a bull. And its almost assuredly a bull that far north. I don’t know of any other big shark that can tolerate completely fresh water long enough to make it that far inland.

The river is high right now. I don’t think there would be that much sand bank showing

Bull
They can live in fresh water and it isn't uncommon to find them upriver

It's a bull shark. They've found them in Minnesota before so Simmesport is nothing.

Definitely a bull shark. Crazy to see one dead on land like that. Interesting find.

Almost certainly a bull in fresh water like that.

Definitely a bull shark.
Tiger sharks have faint stripes on their sides and their nose is more squared off/flat than a bull shark.

You could have just said near Simmsport since the Atchafalaya doesn’t go through New Roads
