Hurts like a mu——- when kids step on it.

Thistle.

You want to use a 24D broadleaf killer.

Good ol thistle. As kids we’d pull it up from underneath and “splat” each other with it on the back. Shite hurt like hell.

In my experience, need to pull the roots up, or it will come back.

I had never seen thistle in our area, until about 30 years ago. When it showed up it spread fast. I am very allergic to it when it blooms.

As others have said, it's a thistle, a native wildflower. Consider leaving it alone for bees, butterflies, and other pollinators.

pour a couple cups boiling water right in the center. Works for fire ants also.

My favorite fire ant treatment. Most effective and cheapest I know of.
