Damn! Maybe I'm sticking around to record that during daylight, but if I would hear that while out in the woods waiting for the sun to come up, I'd knock down trees getting back to civilization.

I was hunting in Kisatchie and young like that first time I heard it. Dad was hunting also but a good bit away. I just remember coming down at dark and making sure the climber covered my neck area if a mountain lion decided to come from behind and go after my neck or head, at least my climber would be in the way Dad heard it also and said bobcat. Over the years I’ve finally heard it enough times and seen bobcats making noises like that to know.

ETA: In reality it just would have knocked me over and I wouldn’t be able to do anything due to a big old school metal climber on my back. Probably just scream like a girl while pissing on my self and maybe mountain lion would feel sorry for me and leave.
