OOOOOOOO, I got a brand new M16A4 when they were issued. It was much much nicer than the old A2s that we had. First time I saw a brand new weapon in our unit. Then we all got ACOGs. Made qual easy.

You haven't shot it enough then. Stove-pipes all the fricking time.
Don't have this problem with M9 and it stays in my boat bag and soaked in salt water. Its been a good gun overall for the abuse I've given it.

M&p , Glock, and maybe even the XD would be great choices

just follow the Marine Corps lead and go with a COLT 1911

Capacity of 1911's leaves a lot to be desired for combat action
Posted on 5/7/13 at 9:26 am to Chad504boy
yes, But the Marines dont need as much capacity.

You're acting like the pistol is the primary weapon system.

Not acting like anything, just acknowledging a pretty huge downside of the weapon

Anyone know what the commies are using these days? Someone told me they retired the Tokarev (inners are very similar to a 1911, but launches a superior round).

In a weapon that is never, if ever fired outside of training.
In my 3 tours, you know how many times i fired my pistol?
Once, to shoot a dog, and it was more of a "bet you can't hit the dog with your 9" type thing.

The USMC is not going to the Shitty Colt 1911,SOCOM will use it but regular units are still going to use the M9.
Next topic of discussion:
Someone needs to google the testing of this awesome Colt 1911 the USMC is fielding. I would not want to carry it, its like a big heavy hammer. Im not even sure it would make a good hammer, since its frame would probably snap in half if you hit something with it.
