I have a summit viper sd and a lone wolf assault hand climber. The lone wolf is a way better public land bow stand but the viper is comfy for all day rifle hunts during the rut.

I started off with a Summit Viper about 15 years ago. Since then i have bought a summit Goliath 6 years ago, and a Lone Wolf sit and climb 3 years ago. To this day my favorite climber is still the summit viper. The Goliath is a little more comfortable, but Viper is way smaller and easier to carry. Lone Wolf is by far the best one to carry, but i am not near as comfortable, and also don’t trust it as much as my Viper.

Purchased a Summit Sentry SD last year and I really like it. Comfortable and feel safe in it. Previously had an ol man that was pretty old and it was very comfortable but the summit clings to the tree much better. The ol man would slip and didn’t dig in as good

Summit viper if you are carrying it less than a mile or so

Summit Viper SD. More expensive than the regular steel version, but a lot lighter. Quick and easy to setup and pack up. Comfortable for long sits. I bought the Summit saddle bags accessory to go with it so I can throw in some cover scent, bottle or 2 of water and maybe a snack depending on how long I’m planning to sit

Used to be an ol'man. I've become exclusively a hang on w/sticks mobile hunter though.

Lone Wolf Assault II, 4 sticks and a lineman's belt.

It's lighter, quieter, more compact, and takes almost the same amount of time to set up/take down as a climber. Plus I can hunt almost any shape tree.

Pretty much my exact setup. Only mods were adding black athletic tape where metal on metal would clink, adding 4 ball loop bungies, and a bow rope that wraps perfectly around the base with a bungie end to keep taught.

I too feel like treewalker is the best, but unfortunately they’ve closed shop. I think it was a father/son business and when the dad got sick they stopped making stands.

No hunter in the world can climb a tree quieter then I can set up my Lone Wolf lock on with 4 sticks. Also, I can hunt crooked trees, leaning trees, trees with low limbs, and trees the size of a basketball. I have the API grand slam and a Ol man climber that sits on the wall.
