What are the odds that Trump folds on "assault rifles"?

I keep seeing more pressure mounting for him to do something and we all know he caved on bump stocks? What are the odds that he gives the Dems what they want? Seems like the NRA is in disarray right now as well.

I'm thinking it's pretty good odds that something will happen soon meaning they will be banned or magazines or something.

NRA was like that right after FOPA passed. Not a good sign. Trump has been a mixed bag in firearms. We got stuck with a bumpstock ban, no HPA but we have gotten quite a few 2A supporting judges and let's face it the courts are where we will have to fight and win.
We didn't get the 2A individual right until Heller case nor incorporation from McDonald, we got it in court. We will have to do the same for scrutiny level. Some signs like Florida's almost passed AWB but backed away for fear of it being struck down tells me we got 5 justices that are favorable to us.

Would be suicide for his reelection. Those on the left will not all of a sudden switch to being Trump voters. It would just discourage those on the right from voting.
If he didnt have to worry about re-election I think he would try to get a ban passed, but it would ultimately get overturned one day by the supreme court if they stay true to the logic of the Heller opinion.

I believe if anything trump with ask to ban pistol braces or make them an NFA item. This way he at least appears to be doing something. Looking to Form 1 some lowers at the moment ....

certainly looks that way. I just don't see bump stocks as that big of a sacrifice.
That said, I don't think anyone should give the fricking liberals a damn thing when it comes to guns. You can't reason with the MFrs and nothing short of the complete banning of all firarms and ammo is going to appease them. So frick 'em. don't give em anything.
I hope Trump realizes he can't negotiate with the Left on firearms- on any level or any aspect. They are completely irrational.
