It sounds like it was a pretty lackluster weekend all around the state this weekend. A handful of undersized reds and a few drum were all I heard out of Big Lake and a couple of reds and trout out of PAC. I did see one good trout report out of Cocodrie on Friday. How'd the OB do?

Where are y'all headed this week?

Caught a few pond bass over the weekend. Since I'm on call this week, I'll probably have to resort to more trips to the pond.

I really need to run my boat, too.

Didn't fish this past weekend but if the weather holds off I'll try to be in the kayak this weekend somewhere.

Fished out of Delacroix Saturday. 15 specks and 3 bass. Water looked better than it had in a long time. Found the specks for the first time in months. Maybe fall fishing is finally here.

I caught a Choupic in Blind River. I was looking for Sac-au-lait but couldn't find them.

Low tide @noonish + howling north wind made my decision for me to save gas. BL water is still fresh and muddy.

I need to run my boat, as well. If I plan properly, I may be able to go somewhere close to home Sunday morning before the Saints game. When is duck season over? I've been wanting to go to Lake Martin.

Wouldn't putting the muffs on be the same as going to lake martin?

Lake Martin is big enough to get on plane and run a little. If you treat it like a race track.

I’ve gone out there to run my boat would just do several laps. Stop to fish for a little while. Do several more laps. And so on. The good thing about that place is if you have a breakdown, you can easily use your trolling motor to get back to the ramp.

Well ive been wanting to go fish lake martin, and i can run it enough in there to keep the motor warm, and burn a little gas. But if duck season is still open this weekend, then ill have to find somewhere else to go.

Went ditch fishing over along side Mosquito Lagoon for baby tarpon and snook for about 5 hours.

Caught over 30 snook(17-23 inches) and jumped 10-12 baby tarpon(5-12#) Actually landed 6 of them.

All on VuDu Mullets The 4" size in various colors.

Only way to get out of the wind....walking the banks.

Most of them were 13-14inches with 10 or so over 16 inches. We caught another 50+ throwbacks.
