Weather proofing computer chair for a box stand

I scored a computer chair off the side of the road that I want to stick in a box stand. I'm thinking of buying a grill cover to wrap around it for weather proofing. Anyone else done something similar or have better ideas? I don't want to crawl into the stand to find the chair is wet for example.

Damn, how big are your box stand windows? I've never had problems with a wet chair in a box stand. It would have to be a blowing hurricane to get like that.

Put a roof on your box stand?

Bring a towel. Removing covers are noisy. Then you have to put it somewhere.

And creates the perfect shelter for a bunch of things to life under there.

Seal the windows with sliding plexiglass

You can spray it with a product such as Camp Dry. Like others said though, seems like your windows are too large though.

I usually wear bibs that are waterproof to hunt in mine after a recent rain. (My roof leaks a little)

It's an old wooden box stand with open windows and door. It does have a roof, but moisture gets in especially when it's windy. I'm not going to get around to fancying up the box stand before deer season with sealed windows and door, but the computer chair would definitely be an upgrade to what we currently have.

My thought for the cover was to try and secure it tightly and leave the cover on permanently for the season. Might be a bad idea in itself, but basically I just want a waterproofed layer on the chair and not have to fiddle with it going in and out of the box for each hunt.

Garbage bag then some cheap thin office seat cover then bungee chords. Grease everything before hauling out to stand… Just a thought

I used industrial garbage bags. I put them on everytime I left and removed them when hunting.

And sit on a wet cover? I think you are overthinking this. That cover won’t improve your hunt.
Go sit in your stand.

Waterproofing fabric
Try doing something like this. Seems easier on a bed sheet/tarp, but you can probably figure out how to do it to a chair. I haven’t watched the video recently, but thought it was something I would try to make a large water proof tarp out of a big painters drop cloth.
