I have the Mark IV lite in this color. It is a sweet little fun and .22's in general are fun to shoot, but it actually jams way more often than i'd like. Almost every time I go to the range/shoot it jams up at least once.

I love my mark IV and it’s great with a suppressor on it. It won’t function well with the “quiet” low velocity 22 loads but subsonic work pretty well.

.22 is a great first pistol. There’s nothing better to learn the mechanics of shooting with.

That would've been Scaramanga (Christopher Lee) with the golden gun, not Bond. Bond's gun was a blued Walther ppk.

Awesome, have fun with that.

Suppressed.22lr is the only thing I can shoot in my neighborhood that won’t upset the HOA.

What is your objective with this specific firearm?

Home protection or target shooting until he gets his conceal carry as the city of Portland, OR doesn’t allow for the carry of loaded guns without one.

I have a huge backyard and I think I could get away with shooting with the right suppressor

I don't plan on carrying at all but am taking a beginners course and will see what this baw recommends. This is mostly step 1 and then I'd get a beefier gun for home protection in a year or so.

Shooting range also seems like an awesome date once I get somewhat adept with things.

For home protection just get a shotgun with 00 buckshot.

It’s harder to miss your target under duress and the shot won’t pass through walls like a rifle or pistol round could

If you aren't experienced with guns getting a plinker first probably isn't a bad idea.

I hope you’re joking. Videos out there show buckshot penetrating multiple walls.

Congrats on the first gun. Learn how to use it properly and handle it. Ignore some of the comments here. Who cares what color it is. What’s important is that it works when you need it. You spent your money on it. When it comes to home defense it’s not the first choice but shooting back at an intruder with a .22 is better than nothing. Welcome to the world of firearms.
