truth. Tasty ones at that. Must've been all the French fries fattening them up.

Second truck got in at 6:00 am, dog taken care of and heading out to scout. Walk outside the house and there is a nice 120" plus 8 OT at 120 yards. Good pictures will have to come later

You can go ahead and let my drone "catch on fire". I could use an insurance pay out.

Saw some ducks and geese but no large numbers. The wind was blowing and it was cold and overcast. The pheasant were hunkered down today. Almost none seen from the road, but we ran the dogs in a few locations and moved good numbers of pheasants from CRP grass

First 2 days of hunting has been hard, between scouting Friday and hunting the last 2, we’ve driven right at 300 miles since being here and walked on average about 20 miles, the odometer on the dogs is much higher than humans .

Haven’t pushed a ton of pheasants on public land, but a local tipped us off to a really good spot for quail and we got on a few coveys. Seen a fair amount of ducks but on mainly on big water that’s hard to hunt walking in, Not many people in this area hunt them.

This evening looked promising for the next 2 days hunting on private land.

Both crews headed back to the boot.

Ended up with 14 pheasants, about 30 quail, 9 rabbits, 2 jack rabbits, 2 poule deau, 4 rattle snakes, and a plains garter snake.

Pictures to come.
