That's not horrible considering that's about what you get in the city with the 5.4 liter ford.

They already do, sell it in Jamaica and not here in the states.

Yeah it doesn't know my 17ft bass boat is there. It just goes and hopes I still have it when I get to the landing. Love it.

What did you do to the engine to get that type of mileage. I have a 2011 F250 and only average about 18.5mpg and drive like a grandpaw. I drive 25 miles to work one way at 55-60 and only make 2 turns. I would get that type of mileage but everytime the cleaning exhaust indicator comes on my mpg falls for a good 7 miles or so.

Looking at the trucks trip computer,at 70 mph pulling a 18' Kenner center console with an over full tank of gas in the boat BTW ,I remember it being in the 15 MPG range.

Thats nice. My '04 Silverado 5.3L gets 10 mph pulling an 18' Gulf Coast with a full 30 gallon tank. Do you recall the axle ratio?

no but I'm sure the 6 speed auto transmission made it much better.

Not a thing. It's 100% stock(other then new tires) from when we got it. It's an '05 and has always gotten 20-21mpg.

My truck is identical to that except for the running boards.

It's going to be up to you of course, but I hear people saying the Tundra interior is ugly. I don't see it to be honest. I really like it and better that any of the other manufacturers. The back seat on the crew cab is bigger than any other. The motor is unbelievably strong with 385hp and over 400ft/lbs of torque.

I had almost $4k on a GM card and the dealerships wouldn't talk about discounting their trucks any. I don't know if that has something to do with the government owning part of them or what but I got $10k off the sticker on my Tundra.

Two things on the truck I don't like are the low gas mileage (I get about 15mpg) and it's a little stiff on the ride. I'm putting new tires and probably putting the bilstein 5100s on it sometime and hope that will help the ride.

I appreciate all the replys and opinions. I just got off the phone with a buddy back in the home land and he swears to me that he can get a '12 F-150 for rock bottom in another month or two when the '13s come out. He knows the owner of a Ford dealership and is overly confident that he can get a sweetheart deal.

I have the 07 tundra crewmax. What's nice is if you order one new they will put any color leather in it at no upcharge. I have king ranch color leather in mine.

What I don't like, and I feel like I'm alone in experiencing this so it may be just my truck, but my transmission lags when shifting. It's hard to explain but say I'm at 45 or so and there's a red light ahead, I pull of the gas to coast down, and the light turns green before I stop. When I hit the gas to get back up the transmission like hits a plateau for a second the rpms go high and then it jumps over. It feels like if you were in a standard and threw it into neutral, for a couple secs, while your foot was kept on the gas.

Anyone know or heard about this other than me????

Oh and my dad has a 2011 150 lariat loaded and i can't find a thing I don't love about that truck

I bought a 2011 supercab not the crew with only 14k miles, whoever owned it took out the XLT package and put in Katskin leather and took out the F-150 Stereo and put in a pioneer touchscreen with DVD/Navigation along with a backup camera. I got it for $25000.00

I have a 2010 F150 Lariat. I like the Tundras, but I felt like I was getting more for my money with the Ford. Heated/cooled leather seats, backup camera, 20in wheels, and so on for around $8000 less. I could've gotten a Tundra for the same price but without all those features. MPG is bad and the insides felt cheap to me on the Toyota. This is a major problem for all toyotas IMO.

Is this the same buddy that works across the street from the Ford dealership in the home land?
