I just averaged 20.3 mpgs driving 75-80 on the interstate from LA to FL in my 2011 Ram. Not shitty at all...and with a 32 gal. tank I've got a 600+ mile range...pretty nice to have that.
To the OP, I'd go Ford if those were my choices. I don't like the interiors of the Tundras.
