I bought an echo a few months ago and love it. That or a stihl or husqvarna are the way to go

After much deliberation last year, I ditched the gas powered weed eater and bought a Ryobi 40v. I have since added the 40v blower and never looking back.

I would say stihl or echo. Im not a fan of husky.

But my main recommendation is don't buy a fixed shaft whether u decide straight or bent buy the one that accepts attachments, weed eater, saw head, edger, blower, tree trimmer etc.

I bought my echo and I was allowed to pick which attachment, I bought the edger version bc there was a weed eater attachment on sale on craigslist for like 15$ and I later bought an attachment with the blade for cheap i don't remember if I bought new or used.

But I believe all those attachments can swap between brands, I know my weedeater head was from a stihl and it works on my echo

Had a Stihl FS55 for a decade but got tired of replacing carb every other year.

Switched to an Echo SRM-225 and very happy so far. Line is much easier to install and starts one 2nd pull every time.

Second the echo 225. Assume you have a normal yard. Think it’s always $200 at HD

Wish I’d gotten the version with interchangeable toolhead though.

I have an echo that is great. It’s probably 6-7 yrs old never had an issue.

I have a Stihl blower a new a brand new stihl extending pole saw.

The blower has been great in the 10yrs or more I’ve had it.
The pole saw was bought y-day and broke within 30 min. Took it back and got a new one. So far it’s been great (fingers crossed).

I bought a Shindaiwa 242 about 10 years ago. It's been ridiculously good.

Troy Bilt and Ryobi are pure garbage. Cheaper than Echo and Stihl, but you get what you pay for.

I have two Stihls and an Ego 56 volt. I use all of them. But I like the lithium ion one.
