Stop telling your friend how how to live his life for your benefit. You don't like his actions, stay away from him. If you don't go hunting with him, he can't hurt you by having a beer while he waits for the birds.

I don't want to be within a mile of anyone who is drinking while they are hunting with a rifle.

I personally don't drink before or during hunting. Skeet shooting is a whole different animal though. I only go with people that I am 100% confident will not shoot me if we are drinking

I have a bottle of manischevitz in my box stand and take a swig every now and then if its cold. I drink a few beers in the duck blind and dove blind.

i won't climb a tree drunk. I'll go hunt a box with some beers.

Wouldn't do so if i was taking my kid out.

at 10 yards (30 feet) low brass #8 12 gauge will leave the wad sticking inside of the brain box on a 60 lb hog.

That being said I don't get around people who I have any fear of poor muzzle control when guns are involved. Also 1-2 beers in a full grown man will not cause significant lapse in coordination or lapse in judgment. If you want to have a beer or two while dove hunting, so be it. For all other forms of hunting leave the substances until after the hunt.

Exactly what I was saying, dove hunting is a beer drinking activity.
