Stop buying all the damn ammo to stick in a closet!!!!!

If everybody would have spent the last 10 years or so, stocking up on ammo, the manufacturers would have increased their production capacities, and nobody would be having a problem. I was doing my part, but I can't do it alone.

I'm with you. These are the same people who bought up all the toilet paper when corona virus hit.

I want the option to.

And you’re the same guy who can’t fathom why anyone would ever buy 380 or 38spl. You’re a weird dude.

You don't have ammo, or what?

I have a lot of it but I bought low when it was available.

I was a regular weekly shooter at the range but lately I can’t even find ammo without going way out of my way to get it. I just avoid going to the range now hoping that this insanity blows over.

I went today to look for a new shotgun and hopefully get some ammo. The place was full of guys looking for ammo. 2 of the guys were clearly stocking up and kept talking about pending civil war. The lady behind the counter was visibly uncomfortable but her associate was egging it on and started talking about crime coming over from the south shore...

I just don’t buy into it. I just want some 9mm so I can keep up my hobby. I’d also like to get another AR because I like them but I know that ain’t happenin

Posting tough stuff in an internet message board is about the most pathetic thing I can imagine but hey, whatever soothes that massive insecurity you have deep inside. Good luck with it bro but I really think you’ll be happier if you just admit to yourself that you are kinda attracted to guys.

So you’re mad cause you went to the ammo store and other customers were there buying ammo? Your ammo, right? That you should be able to get when you want it? But not them? Cause this is all about your hobby and what you want, when you want it. Got it.

I can understand your frustration, but I can also understand the increase in people buying ammo and guns. It’s not like we haven’t been watching riots and mayhem for a year. And we now have a VP that
Openly and enthusiastically supports the rioters. It’s not hard to understand why people are panic buying.
Suck it up buttercup. I’m annoyed with all the extra
Traffic at the golf courses. But it is what it is. Doesn’t mean everyone else needs to stop playing cause I want my regular tee time when I please.

Frankly, my feelings about this one are - this is the last big run on guns.

Because, they will be de facto contraband in the briefest of intervals. At least those effective in self defense. The powers that be might let us keep break opens with long arse barrels for a little while longer, but the cynic in me isn't even counting on that.

In my opinion it isn’t just people stockpiling and buying thousands of rounds at a time, rather millions of new gun owners getting into shooting have also affected ammo availability.

That being said, 1,000 rounds of 9mm really isn’t much if you want to get anywhere near proficient with a firearm. Shooting with both hands, strong hand, weak hand, shooting while moving backwards, forward, sideways, changing mags, clearing a jam, etc. can easily burn through several hundred rounds quickly. And you have to practice to keep the skill up.

I cringe when people tell me they bought a new carry weapon, have shot 1 or 2 mags through it and are ready to trust their life to that weapon.

Most of the folks who are prepared aren’t doing any panic buying right now because they have been buying ammo for years when others thought they were crazy.

Why are you worried about what other people are buying? I don’t care what people buy or don’t buy and it’s none of my business.
