Awesome pic! Beautiful snake. I don't mind them when I see them before they see me!

You didn't kill it?

You just got your redneck card revoked.

I had a chance to get a snake while driving to work yesterday. I wasn't going to swerve to miss it but didn't take the opportunity to hit it.

Getting soft as I age

nevermind I just saw where you saw this snake....you're way North than us..we see mostly copperheads and rattle snakes(not sure what the proper name is).

I have a question...do you see or heard of many people seeing cougars around Choctaw County area (Butler/Lisman)?

We had a guy at our lease that swears he saw one but no one in the 6 years we've been hunting out there has nor have we seen any evidence that one may be around there.

I know of a few people that swear they've seen them at various places in the state. And of course the usual crazies that see "black panthers" which, IF they saw anything, I'm sure was just a cougar in the shadows.

We had a guy that swears he saw a very big cat with a long tail on our hunting club in Sumpter county, back in the 90's. I have no doubt there are a few cougars throughout the south. They are native to the area.

I'm at home on the computer now, but when I'm at work I drain mine pretty low between listening to Bill King in the morning and surfing tigerdroppings, my traditional archery forum, and whatever else I do to entertain myself.

Pur-ty. Canebrakes always seem much prettier than Eastern Diamondbacks, IMO. Better colors and pattern, plus Eastern/Western Diamondbacks always look really pissed off.

I'd probably try to relocate it, because I think they're very cool,

This is my husband. Scares the crap out of me. We see them at our camp in Tunica sometimes, and he usually just moves them to a less-visited part of our land. Nice to see another crazy person like him around though!

Those pics are awesome. Beautiful snake. I would have definitely been on edge that close to it, but you can tell when they start getting irritated and musking. You're not going to want to hang around that stanky bastard at that point, anyway.

I did this with a copperhead I found in my garden last spring. Moved it to the woods gently. It really didn't seem to mind at all.

Thanks, I do a little photography as a hobby. I stayed a few feet from it the whole time. I was never in any danger of being bitten.
