The Tundra is the best full sized truck on the market. (Change my mind)

Its basically a 3/4 ton truck, motor has gobs of hp and torque. Transmission is bulletproof, motor the same, plenty of room in the cabin albeit the updates to the truck aren't done anywhere near as often as domestic trucks (dependability aside this is probably the number one reason why they hold their value so good).

Towing ratings is off the charts for a 1/2 ton compared to domestic 1/2 tons.

Can't think of anything else to add except I love the new flat primer and tan paint colors available on them as well.

The only thing I aluded to as far as preference was the 2 body colors. The rest is fact.

It is overall, if you are looking for reliability.

Reliability is very important but capability is most important when comparing it to 3/4 ton trucks made for hauling. It's a very impressive specimen.

It has the worst crash test rating of all full size trucks, I rank not dying of more importance than anything else.

"But Toyota's full-size Tundra was rated as one of the most unsafe trucks the IIHS evaluated. In the frontal tests, the Tundra was "seriously compromised by intruding structure," which is an engineer's way to explain that you're likely to be seriously injured by the Tundra's cabin compressing around your body. In the passenger-side test, the Tundra's footwell caved in 15 inches, compared to the F-150's five inches. It scored the worst rating of Poor. Plus, its A-pillar "intruded into the passenger's space," and the lower part of the B-pillar caved in more than a foot, IIHS said. The driver's score was slightly better at Marginal. Roof strength was also the weakest of any pickup tested."

I won't buy another Toyota product. My Tundra suffers from the dreaded cam shaft tower seal leak because they didn't use enough RTD to seal it. Affected models are the 2010-2018 models of Toyota Tundra, Sequoia, Sienna, Land Cruiser, and Lexus LX570.

I just found a law firm that is (was?) investigating the issue to consider filing a class action lawsuit. LINK

So, they suck for not standing by their product.

Only thing I've ever heard about the Tundras was the secondary air pumps going bad and making the trucks go into limp mode. $2300 fix from the dealership

Based on a quick Google search,

Tundra - 10.2k
Silverado/Sierra - 12.2k
Ram - 12.75k
F-150 - 13.2k.

So..........

Looks like the tundra beats no one.

I've pulled boats behind F150's, Sierras and Tundras. The Tundra was the strongest by far pulling a 22' bay boat. I am amazed to see the rated towing capability of those other trucks you posted though. Like I said, I'm open to having my mind changed.

You can buy an air pump bypass kit for $150-350 depending on the year model

Should be covered under a warranty for certain years. Mine was.

Also transmission went out at 78k. Couple of other issues and will never get another one. Shed it at 110k miles with the check engine light on.

I saw they are going to build the Tacoma and tundra on the same frame going forward. Curious to see where that goes

Yep. Have actually had to put those bypass kits on 2 Tundras. They're a lifesaver.

One of the last things people consider when buying a vehicle.

I had a tundra that was bulletproof. Over 200k miles and never hit the shop. That being said I tow a lot and drive a truck roughly 60k miles a year and the seats are garbage. I couldn't handle the lack of interior comfort in the Tundra. Stiffest riding box and like sitting on a park bench all day. For $50k plus my arse needs to be comfy!

The most comfortable truck seats I've been on were a gmc Denali. I just had a conversation about how the f150 layout was better but the seats in that truck were great.
