have been a part of many many frame swaps on trucks at body shops and the Tundra is the beefiest frames
Weren’t the Tundra’s frames being replaced because they were rotting out?

1st motor was a Jasper motor with a 3 year 100,000 mile warranty. Changed it out because of a lifter noise under warranty. I misspoke. I have put 2 motors in it, its had 3 motors.

I haven't seen that. We were changing them out because of insurance body shop jobs.

Ah ok, gotcha. My pops has a tundra and I love it. It will probably be my next truck. Either a new Tundra or a F250 with reasonable mileage. But for now, my paid off Silveraydo is doing the job pretty well.

Wish I had a way to post pictures. I drove as easy as I could on the way home today and averaged over 18mpg on a 60 mile ride.
Wouldnt trade it for a tundra if it came with a lifetime supply of .22 bullets.

My first tundra was a 2006. I just traded it in for a 2019. It had 285k on it, with only trouble being the secondary motor and having to change the timing belt every 90000 miles. Traveled all over the country with my work. Absolutely best ride of any truck I’ve ever driven. Some trips I spent up to 14 hours straight before stopping for sleep.
I believe the 5.7 in the 19 has the timing chains. Seats and ride are as comfortable as the 06. Both trucks have the SR5 trim package.
Bought the truck from Beaver Toyota in Cumming Georgia. They offer free lifetime power train warranty. Free oil changes for life.

i have had a brand new silverado, or sierra every 2 yrs for the past 10 yrs. This yr i got my first tundra. While i have no complaints, i cant say where it is better or worse than others. Each have pros and cons. My last sierra was much more sexy inside with more features, but Jesus it was a rough ride. My tundra much better ride. Gmc much b355er gas mileage. Tundra feels to haul better.

With rather...spirited driving my nissan 4.0l averages 15.5 mpg. That's with larger e rated tires, winch bumper, 12k lb 2inch.
Tows an 20ft trailer with two side by sides on it while loaded down with gear and I can still set my cruise at 66 to save mileage.
People these days seem to forget that in the late 80s and early 90s your 1 ton options only had maybe 150hp and 200 ftlbs of torque.
Hell my v6 only has 80 less ft lbs of torque than a 454.
Power is rarely the issue when towing.

LOL, on level flat ground my F150 will get 33 at 55mph. At 75 it gets 25

I average 21 in my V8 F150, it'd do better if there was someplace to drive 55 around here.
