I think that’s about normal for a peddle style drive. The native Propel drive is 20lbs. That style is just heavier than the mirage drive.

Is it really? My PDL is 21 lbs and we had a native with us on Saturday and it seemed about half the weight.

Right now I think I am. Waiting until Friday to pull the trigger on a registration though. I don't want to drive 3 hours to get rained on. I think Lefty has first dibs on demo but you are definitely welcome to try it out.

It's got to fit all that awesomeness . Just come on down and I'll buy the beer. I never catch fish so there should be plenty of room in the ice chest for some brews.

It’s actually 19lbs after checking. So they’re all 19-22lbs except for that Helix drive. Wonder why the Wildy drive is so light. The propel drive is a beast. It ain’t breaking on anything

So what do you all think will be the next big thing to come out for Kayaks? I'm surprised we don't see more built in wheels and keel guards to protect the bottom.

Hell I always thought is was heavy
It’s a pretty simplistic design and I’ve only had 1 issue when the lock nuts holding the prop loosened up, but after 2 yrs of pure abuse I’m still happy with it

I think FeelFree may have that on patient. They market the shite out of the "wheel in the keel" feature.

With the upgrades in battery technology I think electric drives are going to start getting more and more popular and we will see a split like we do now with paddle/pedal kayakers. The ones that want to keep it more minimalist will stick with the manpowered boats and those who are looking for a relatively inexpensive way to get on the water will gravitate towards the electric motors.

I have a feeling we will also see some hull design improvements/changes in the near future.

I do like the zero draft feature on the Wildy.

Built in electronics (we are already starting to see some of that). There's already electric drives and even jet kayaks. Integrated livewell with aerators maybe? I don't really know where else they can go without prices blowing up even more.

I am hoping for lightweight in normal colors and zero in hull storage.

Yes sir do agree with the built-in electronics are coming
ports to charge your phone USB type connections with switch’s
Maybe internal / external lighting as well?
and with the batteries getting lighter It’s just a natural progression
shite damn rigs are gonna looking like bay boats
