Check out local army surplus stores if you are looking for bug out type bags and gear...can be had for lot less then most retail stores.

and people that think you are paranoind are also making a mental note to try and find you when and if the shite hits the fan so you can help save there arse....lol

I had to clear out books off the bookcase in the computer room for ammo.

I have one shelf solid with .223, the next shelf stuffed with .22, .308 Win, 12/20 buckshot and slugs, .45 and 9mm pistol ammo.

I don't think I'm a nutjob.............where do I get some good knives at?

I would love to know out of curiosity just how much small arms ammunition and weaponry is in civilian hands. Mainly military style rifles and ammo .223/7.62x39/.308

I know what I have and have several friends that put mine to shame. Multiply that nation wide and I bet the numbers would be staggering.

Retails for around $40/100 right now so $350-360 is in the ball park. If it is brass.

I just bought some on sportsmanguide.com and it came out to .35 per round. That is the cheapest I have seen in some time. Looks like the prices are coming down a little bit. Probably due more to so many people having bought as much as they think they will need.

Most surprising to me is the drop in cost for magazines. I am able to get AR-15 mags for $9.99 at CTD which I find unbelievable and even more crazy is the H&K G3 aluminum mags going for $0.99 if I didn't already have 25 of them I would buy some more.

I wish. I had a gift certificate though so that took care of the shipping costs for me. Of course I always buy an ammo can every time I buy ammo so that it stays dry. That definitely ups the overall shipping costs.

You can get PMAGS for around 15 bucks a piece now. They were selling for 30 bucks a piece six months ago.

Be careful with cheap mags. Just saying. Test every one of them with every brand/load of ammo you have. They can cause FTF errors in some cases.

That is the thing these are aluminum mil spec mags made by government contractors for AR-15/M16 some labeled not for civilian use for $9.99 and original H&K G3 aluminum mags that are still in sealed packs mostly from the 1960's-80's but brand new for $0.99.

Perhaps, more than 15 guns and 5000 rounds of ammo for each.

'Paranoid nut job' is just a slur we have to live with.

I'd still test. I've seen factory mags that didn't work right due to defect, and cheap arse plastics that performed great.

Ya never know.
