I got to thinking this last night while taking inventory at my house. I had to buy a 6' craftsman storage cabinet to house my ammunition and magazines. The wife already thinks I have crossed the line but I think you need to be able to adequately feed your collection. What does the OT think

Before I was born, My Mom told my dad either the guns go or she goes. From my Dad's account, he had over 200 rifles/pistols in the house. Under the beds, behind doors, in the closets, all over.
He widdled his collection down to 60ish. As I was growing up I remember there being 2 large display cabinets in our living room. Each one housed maybe 10 - 12 rifles and 8 - 10 pistols. We also had a small workshop right in the middle of the house. Dad had pegboard put up on 3 of the 4 walls and guns were hanging on almost every square foot of each wall. Along the wall that wasn't peg boarded was a long work bench with 3 different reloading presses, one for pistol ammo, one for rifle ammo and one for shotgun shells. There was a double layer craftsman tool chest. Top layer had all the reloading dies and accessories. Bottom drawers had all the different primers and also all the assorted reloading tools he needed. There were a few wall-mounted shelves with all the reloading books he needed for specs and referrence. Underneath the 12ft long work bench was all the cans of gun powder, boxes of different bullets, 5 gallon buckets of spent casing waiting to go into the polisher and be reloaded.
My Dad died in 1991 and we had to box all that stuff up. Sold off all the bullets, casings and powder. Mom didn't like all those guns in the house. We got a safe and as many guns that could fit in it was all she would let me keep. That was 22. Sold 40+ guns to a gun shop owner from down in Cut Off. over $20,000 worth.
I had those 22 guns till the day Katrina hit. All but 3 were in that safe in my garage. Now all I have left is those 3 guns. A Colt Delta Elite 10mm. Ruger Super Blackhawk 44mag and an H&K model 94.
