I have the same question, OP, though I'm a year out from buying

I think I'm leaning toward the 26 myself (I'm 5'11")

Not sure if I want black or max5

I've had 2 SBE II in the past and loved them. Both were 28". I'm going have to shoulder a 26" and compare it.

I prefer 26". Swing/handle both first if you can.

28 with a 1.5 inch modified ported choke. Mostly open water blinds.

26 feels a little to small for me. Less MOE on the follow through.

26". As said by another poster, the stock design makes the gun feel long anyway.
Shotgun barrels are like sex, it's the motion in the ocean baw.

26". Everything that's going to happen to that shell is done in the first 21-22". No need for longer barrel.

Actually less than that. Shotgun and pistol powders are very close and some powders have shotgun and pistol applications.

Hodgdon Titewad for example has both listed.

Found this one for $1,550. Seems cheap. I know the SBE II had an American version that had less features. This one has everything from what I can see. Any help is appreciated.

I prefer 26 - I have an A-5 with 26 inch barrel and a SBE 2 with a 28

Feel much more confortable shooting the 26 browning.
