I guess I should have asked the question as how to coon-proof a feeder that I already have, instead of having to buy a new feeder. Moultrie makes some cages that are supposed to fit their feeders. I'll try that and maybe the pvc/shark teeth method.

Found this at Academy. Do you have a picture of your feeder?

Metal cage for the bottom, hardware cloth covering all edges, and sheet metal cover on top. My feeders are 350 lb capacity fiberglass and were being attacked by coons and squirrels. They are now critter proof.

Anything you can use to help protect your blueberry and blackberry plants?

After putting cages on the feeder bottoms, the coons would still jump on the cage and shake corn out. Even with my game cam set at 5 min, I had hundreds of coon pics. I put a trap near the feeder and left the first coon trapped in the cage. After several weeks it had died, dehydrated, and was rotting. I guess it freaked the other coons out because they stayed away for several months.

Crisco on the legs of the feeder will keep them from climbing it, and spinning the plate. Re-apply once a month or so.

But it's a simple fact of life that if you feed corn you're gonna have coons.

Two words: Golden Malrin
Mix with sprite or cat food. They typically don’t make it more than 15 steps.
