I've lost 2 small spruce-type trees to bucks rubbing them in my yard in years past. This fall, it started again on a larger tree. I finally got around to putting a game cam up and caught at least 5 different bucks in my yard. I've only seen 2 in person, I see 6-9 does regularly. Neighborhood only has a few acres of lots not built on and I've got the thoroughfare to 2 large undeveloped lots in my yard. Neighborhood borders 160 acres that is under-developed and still fairly wooded.

Just thought it was cool.

I think these are different

This guy was in my front yard at 9:15, flushed him across the street before I could snap a pic. This was late Oct, I think mid-rut.

Might need a bow.

Better not let them boys from Seek One know about it...they'll have 3 ground blinds and 4 lock-ons in your yard by tomorrow morning

I just moved the cam to the other side of the tree because I had a bunch of pics of deer passing behind it.

I've got a climber in the basement, just need a crossbow.

Until he runs into the neighbor's yard and dies under a swing set.

I'm absolutely sure this would happen.

While Slacker looks for an inexpensive and easy to learn crossbow, I'll put some rice on to boil ...

Not that big of a deal. Most neighbors are sleeping at 3am.

So what you charging for a week or so of hunting permission next year? Been looking for somewhere to go other than Missouri. I’m not above shooting a backyard buck lol

I have a very similar situation. I'm trying to decide on whether to get a crossbow or a can.

That’s gotta be one of the smallest 5 points I’ve ever seen. Impressive.

About 72 miles southeast of you.

I might have caught some early morning love in this picture. Tough to tell what's going on, right side.

Also, this is limpy. She's a doe with a broken front leg that's been around for 3-5 years. Seems like she has 2 fawns every year. She can't run from the bucks, so she gets the love often.

That’s the kind of shite that would happen to my dad. Like when he got kicked out of his dorm building in college for skinning a deer in the dorm public showers. Or when he ran out of money for food and baited the pet ducks to the bank of a lake on campus and hit them with a 2x4 so he could have meat for dinner

A can is and always will be the correct choice...
