Blue rain barrel. Top cut off. Upside down with a bullseye on the side.

Tannerite taped behind the bullseye.

Launched my dads bass boat without the plug in. I didn't notice until I had about 1 or 2 inches of freeboard. I was able to run it and drain the water but I was awful close to sinking the boat.

I never told him about it.

Accidentally put diesel in the boat. It was raining and I wasn't paying attention and accidentally pulled up to the wrong pump at the marina. Once I noticed it was too late. Plan was drive it back to house and let my brother take it out to blame him for when in inevitably broke down. I didn't make it back to the house

shot one of my uncle's guineas with a pellet gun. He made me pluck it and eat it. Taught me not to shoot at any animal that wasn't in season, even with a BB/pellet gun, and also that you better eat what you kill. Sucked to do as a 7yo, but I learned my lesson. I'm glad I didn't shoot a dog or something worse

Forgot to put the truck back into drive after backing down the ramp to hook the boat up.

Almost ended badly. Thankfully I didn't floor it when I took my foot off the brake

Pulled weed eater plug out of socket with plug prong still in socket. Reached for pliers to pull out. There was spark, there was smoke, and there was a blown fuse; the rubber grip, however, saved me.

Learned a gallon of water weighed 8lbs. Needed an anchor for the neighborhood bateau. Filled milk jug with water and tossed it over the side. Massive fail.

As a teenager, shooting buzzards a few hundred yards away on high voltage power lines... dang near burned the entire county. The cold front was a curse at first, because of the wind whipping it up, and then a blessing for the rain it brought. I never even considered that a possibility.

Thought it would be a cool idea as a kid to bring my neighbor's cat ride in the pirogue. The cat wasn't thrilled and claw the hell out of me.

I had a friend go to jail for something like this, he accidentally lit a corn field on fire with fireworks on the fourth of July, and they convicted him on felony destruction of crops. It was only sparklers too

Yeah sounds like you were younger, my buddy was 18 when it happened, just looked up the article about it, $100,000 in damage.

Hooked up a battery to charge overnight - only problem is I did it backwards. Woke up the next morning to the charger cord melted to the top of the battery. Thankfully, the breaker flipped and cut off power before anything caught on fire. Not a mistake I'll ever make again.

Another battery story but not mine - my brother set the battery in the small bateau on an angle and both polls touched the bare side of the aluminum boat and started sparking and smoking like crazy. Nothing happened but it was a serious "oh shite" moment.

It was New Years Day, I was probably 12 or so. We had a fair amount of leftover black cats and jumping jacks. Someone in my group of 6 friends had the bright idea to break the fireworks in half and pour the powder into a fiesta ball tube. We emptied a large quantity, lit a fuse and dropped it in. Nothing happened. We waited a minute or so. Still nothing. We all circled around the tube and looked over it. At that moment a fireball came from the tube and nearly burned all of our faces. We had a good laugh and had a bottle rocket war afterwards.

Thought I was doing my grandfather a favor by mowing his yard before he came home from work. Didn't know that old Snapper burned oil, and needed to be checked before every use. I burned the motor up.

In 1974, I borrowed my dad's wooden fishing rod he'd bought when he went through basic at Schofield barracks during the Korean War. The last thing he said was don't come home if anything happens to that rod. I was in a boat with one buddy, and his brother was fishing from the bank. The bank fishing brother got hung up in some trees, and asked for help. I lay the rod down next to me turned, and cranked the boat motor. When I turned around to see where we were going, I basically sat on the rod and broke it.

Had a Ruger 10-22 I could drive tacks with. Was in the top of the barn looking out waiting on squirrels that would come to the corn. Decided to target practice on the NBA logo on my basketball goal. The metal plate on the back caused every bullet to ricochet and hit the house. Just siding damage though
