Stevens 555 Over and Under

Anybody have a Stevens (Savage) 555?
I just got one in 20 gauge at a very good used price. 5 chokes came with it. Made by KOFS in Turkey.
For a budget-type economy firearm, I am impressed with it. Fit and finish, checkering and function, are nice. Turkish walnut wood is lovely. Very light at 5 pounds, 7 ounces. Aluminum receiver, but with steel insert in high pressure area around firing pin. It is not meant to be a shotgun that gets thousands of rounds put through it every year.
When they started making them in 2014, there was supposedly an issue with both barrels sometimes going off, but that issue is said to be long resolved with a stronger sear spring.
Any opinions on the 555?

Bought one last year , used it on doves and during teal season . Good gun , you will like it ...

Back in the fall of 2021, I bought a 20ga. Stevens 555 to commemerate my first hunting road trip with my lab puppy.
It's considerably lighter than my other shotguns, and its comfortable to carry on all day bird hunts. It did take a bit of getting used to since it is so much lighter than the pumps and autos I previously hunted with.
I haven't had any problems with it yet, but I have not shot more than a cae fo shells through it either. I like the ejectors better than extractors other O/U and SxS doubles I've shot before.

I’ve got a 20 and a 12. The 20 is a fun light gun. I’ve killed geese down to doves with it.
Really don’t use the 12 since I have the 20.

I have a .410 and absolutely love it for doves and quail. Fit and finish are above expectation at that price point.

they look very nice and I need a new 20 ga. Also I do think an O/U is the safest and easiest to maintain shotgun you can use. I’ve seen people do stupid shite with an auto especially wingshooting
