people get all stupid when the water is involved but when you change it to land, suddenly they agree they cant block off public roads crossing private property.
There are basic fundamentals your side is either not getting, or is just ignoring.

Honest question. What public money is going into maintaince of these private canals?
But does the public water not continually keep these private waterways navigable? Thus, keeping their waterway a waterway

I can't think of any checks that I earned when I lived in Louisiana where my taxes stated state waterway deduction lol
This is lunacy

In order to maintain a waterway canal, don't you need water?

It's bc he can't

an artificial waterway constructed to allow the passage of boats or ships inland or to convey water for irrigation.
So, by me saying the state constantly provides water to the canal, how am I not answering the question on how they help to mainatain said canal

Soooo, your checks showed what your state income tax was going to fund? Because mine sure don't.
Even so, it's not all funded by the state. The Army Corps funds alot of the dredging operations on the Calcasieu Ship Channel for instance.

If I own land, and spend my money to build a canal on my land that I'm paying taxes and have liability for, it's my canal. Water is water, I don't see any more ownership there than if my yard floods.

I just wanted to contribute more absurdity to an already absurd topic

You're comparing public versus private water laws of a State that has more wetlands than almost every other state combined. Of course its going to be more difficult to regulate and get 'correct' in Louisiana.

We pay taxes
Our taxes are used to maintain the public roads
Troy landry takes the public roads that is maintained by taxpayers money into his land
He then gates land and does not let public taxpayers on some of the land they paid taxes to maintain
Bingo.
And those who complain are mad they can't buy their own.
I have a 900x200 pond, I stocked it with fish I caught in a canal. Should my pond be public access?
Eta: to make it better, I used the parish relief line to fill the pond. So public water.

When Troy gates his canal, public water is still continuously keeping said canal filled correct?
So when I dig a pond in my backyard and the rain fills it up you can come fish in that too? It is the publics water i suppose
