Ever booked an inshore charter in AL or FL?

I get you, but not happening.

15/14 would give you same amount of meat as 20/12s

But you’d kill 50 more throwing back 11.5-12’s to get 15 14’s. I say no size limit.

Just thinking out loud, how many small trout would still be released because the person wants a limit of larger fish? I know I have done it on Big Lake when I knew they were biting.

I know that's what I'd do. 12 inch trout are barely worth keeping with how little meat you get off them, why would you want to keep smaller than that?
Not to mention getting rid of a size limit would mean even more fish being taken before they have a chance to spawn at least once, which would be even more detrimental for the fishery.

I don't understand how many people are okay with this after watching the meetings and seeing how and where they got their samples.... and how WLF couldnt answer questions during meetings and instead just cut people off or kicked them out

It should really only be 5/14. That’s all I can eat anyway. No use for more than that.

So because you do something one way means everyone should?

5 14" trout isn't much at all. That's like one meal for a family dinner...for non fatties.

So there could be some Fist-A-Cuffs at these meetings? Brass knuckles are ready.

Who’s gonna haul their boat for 2 1/2 hours and all the prep that goes with it for 5 fish?

You can catch as many as you want. You just can’t keep more than 5. Studies have been shown that heart disease and depression increase in speckled trout communities where entire families are torn apart quickly. The 5 fish limit will ensure some semblance of a family unit is maintained in our ecosystem.

Most people don’t even catch five fish on their trips
