Limits of Woodrows, lit a flock of Mallards at 50 that we should have shot at 35, had a novice shooter in the blind and a Woodie at 25 on the water. Figured they’d land on him.

Teals and Grays in Big Branch. Almost a limit for 3, but probably missed as many as we killed.

Unfortunately from what I’ve seen the last several years there may not be a whole lot other than green wings in many of the areas that used to hammer the big ducks. Some of the blinds off 15 would cease to hunt without teal.

Sooner or later the teal, gray ducks and ringnecks will figure out they don't have to migrate any farther south than the mallards, widgeon and pintail. There will be nothing left in Louisiana other than poule d'eau.

2 days, 2 different WMAs, no ducks. Lack of rain has alot of my holes that have been good the last few years either bone dry or shrunk up significantly.

Gonna have to find some water or duck season is going to be tough.

Got 22 yesterday... mainly teal and few grays. Should’ve been a limit an hour earlier, but we was rusty at first.

10 today... 8 blue wing and two greens. Should’ve been closer to 20, but we had one less man on top of the fact the FIL never really shoots.. just likes to work the ducks and dogs.

That really is depressing that very few big ducks are showing up. Road around golden meadow saturday and saw 6 ducks all day. Guess what? They were blue wing.

3 hunts and we haven’t shot a teal in my blind. Don’t think we’ve seen more than 10 in range that never checked up. 28 greys so far. Had a pair of mallards and a can land in pond yesterday out of range. First time I’ve seen can on lease, only 3rd time in 10 years I’ve seen a mallard. Knocked down a sprig this am. Had some spoons over decoys while dog was out of blind today.

What area do y'all hunt? We didn't even see any greys this weekend.

When I hunted there, all we ever killed were gadwall.

Yeah, that's usually the case. 93% greys, 5% gw teal, the other 2% is BW teal, pintails, mottled and various divers. Had to rub my eyes twice and clean my glasses when that pair of mallards lit in pond.

If you want to pop a few woodies, they can be had in PRWMA if you follow a slew and try to find a kinda open spot to shoot. It's a 15 minute game; if you don't get a couple passes after 15 minutes of daylight; pick it up. I used to make a lil shoot like that before work back when I was way more mad at em.

Nets are officially UP. One blue wing snuck through. Assholes.
