brown lab, one of the best dog's I've ever known, never barks never jumps on people etc. anyway, my neighbor (who im very good friends with) called me absolutely pissed. apparently his dog was just following the meter man and said meter man felt like the dog was "about to attack me and i felt threatend". i tried to call him down but gah damn id be pissed too. his dogs eyes are swollen and shut. what do you think energy has to do to wrong this right? he's going over there tomorrow with pictures.

They'll stand behind their employee, apologize for the mishap and likely do nothing.

A dog has no rights and if he did, energy probably wouldn't pay it.

Im sure the pepper spray is approved by Entergy. Just be consider your neighbor lucky that it wasn't a cop the dog was stalking.

Monetary compensation probably. The dog should be fine after it passes.

To right the wrong?

Unfortunately, there's probably nothing he can do. Was the dog in a fenced in area?

They're probably not going to do anything about it. File a complaint though and if the meter guy runs into the same thing again he may eventually get disciplined.

Or they will stop providing service to his residence due to a dangerous dog. UPS tried to do the same thing to my parents house, but a supervisor used our lab for trailing before and knew the story was BS.

That sucks. They'll probably do nothing.

I'm trying a meter reader bite case Friday. Fenced dog. Reader never been in that area before. Reader did not attempt to contact owner before entering yard. I do not like what a loss means for us backyard dog owners.

Yes the dog was in a fenced in area. Just a shitty situation all around. My neighbor isn't the type to try and get someone fired or anything on that line but on the flip side I've never seen him this angry. Guess we'll wait and see tomorrow.

Don't they use binoculars in cases where dogs are in the yard?

First time I shot a man, it was because he kicked my dog.

Your buddy is better than me, dude would get curb stomped if it wasn't provoked

Our meter reader just calls the house and asks what the reading is. Not bad if you ask me.

While petting his dog, my brother noticed that his animals coat was kinda greasy.
Perplexed, my brother rubbed his forehead.
His skin began to burn and his eyes watered and then he realized Fido had been pepper sprayed by the meter reader.
He was not as amused as I was.

Where did this take place? Energy subcontracts their meter readers.

We read our own, used to mail it in on a postcard Entergy provided, now we just do it online. Once a year we give them access and they read it to make any adjustments. Works well all around. Just call and ask.
