How much thicker is snakeboots than workboots?

My tony lamas are fairly thick leather. I have no clue how much leather a snake can penetrate.

I was wondering the same thing. I normally wear Redwing steel toe work boots during squirrel season. I don't know if a mocassin could penetrate them or not, but at least I feel safer than wearing ankle boots.

I always have boots on in the woods anyway. Mostly to keep ticks and chiggers off my legs.

Maybe a rattlesnake could bite through easier. Their fangs look longer than the other three venomous snakes of Louisiana.

I understand that they give you confidence; but have any of you ever been bitten by a full sized rattler or cottonmouth wearing snake boots and been unscathed?

Nope but do you know of anyone that was bitten by a full sized rattler or cottonmouth while wearing snake boots and got scathed.

Get a pair of chippewa snake boots. Great boots and will last you forever. Takes a while to break in, but once they are, very comfortable.

I kill venomous snakes... because I don't like them, and I like shooting shite.

And because if I don't, my buddy will shoot it instead.

I bought some three years ago. Wear until it gets cold. I haven't been bitten, nor have I seen a snake yet. But I figure a little money is worth the peace of mind.

I don't own any but I bought my son some. He hasn't been bitten by a snake in them but I tried my best to push a sewing needle through them and couldn't so I figure they must work pretty good.

No I don't. I was just wondering if they actually work when you are bitten. I've seen shark suits tested on Discovery or History and the damage was minimal, (bruises when you may have lost an arm unprotected). Just curious if the snake boots had similar results.
