Has anyone here tried to put some whiskey on the smoker and add flavor? I’ve talked to some guys from Tennessee that say it’s amazing but I’m not sure how to even attempt it. I love putting stuff on my smoker and enjoy the flavors I get from it but I’ve never thought to try something like that.

Not worth the effort when you can buy Taliskers

I tried smoking cheese once and it was the dumbest idea. Couldn't get it cold enough. Also easily available at the store for same price.

If using an offset, just build a tiny fire. Its a pain but doable.

I have smoked water then made ice cubes out of it to drink with whiskey.

Hot. Ice. It's the best of both worlds!

Helps to let it dry some.

I find that George Dickel Tennessee whisky has a nice smokey
flavor to it. I normally drink it neat.
A splash of George with some warm honey goes great with grilled pork chops.

Baw you sure they not talking about one of them fancy pants cocktail smokers and not actually firing up the Big Green Egg?

We got one of those cocktail smokers as a wedding gift, I don’t really care for it a whole bunch.

Wouldn't the alcohol evaporate?

I have not done it but you could do it like I cold smoke cheese. Use a smoke tube filled with wood pellets that you light with a propane torch. When I do cheese it has to be below 40. The colder outside the better.

How about a reverse Hookah? I have no idea how it is really done, but if you could force smoke to bubble up through the whiskey that might work.
