I'll say the Mosin will be more accurate but I have no idea honestly. That's just a guess.

Don't have experience other than just reading but I understand the Mosin will kick you pretty good.

Mosin was used as a sniper rifle and a battle rifle , the sks was just a battle rifle.

Never shot an sks but I shot powpow's Mosin about 3 weeks back. Gun's probably 60 years old but it was dead on. I say Mosin-Nagant all day

The sks is a low power unaccurate gun

the mosin is an crap-shoot accurate shoulder-destroyer

I own both. Haven't had a chance to shoot the SKS yet, but I would assume the mosin is more accurate. It does kick worse than a mule though. You can probably shoot about 10 times before your shoulder is done

I have a Mosin nagant that has been converted to 30.06 kicks like a mule.

SKS- battle rifle, 7.62x39 cheaper cartridge, less power, little kick, fair accuracy. I get like 6" groups at 100 yards.

Mosin- more accurate like a sniper rifle. Will make you go deaf and blow your shoulder off. 7.62x54 cartridge so about equivalent of aught 6 in power.

I prefer the SKS, more fun to play around with. I got my deer rifle for precision shooting, I don't need a Mosin.

totally different weapons for different purposes. The mosin was Russia's main sniper rifle and is legendary for it. The sks is the predasessor to the AK some say. it is very very similar.
