Is that the one that’s blows your dick off? I’ve got a couple sigs but get confused with all the P365320226645363737 numbers.

In 2021 I said I was creeped out by that gun's reputation for unintended discharge and yall laughed at me. Today it still has the same reputation and I am still above ground!

Damage control fluff piece

Personally, I think it's very far-fetched that the gun actually has a design and function issue and the AD's are nearly all operator error, but that's just me.
The latest debacle was someone yanking the trigger and lying about it, yet here we are.
I'm no sig fan boi by any stretch but I believe the P320 paranoia is little more than gun doods acting like white women.

It's mind boggling how easily repeatable it is

Sir, there are over 100 videos on Youtube of creators getting stock P320s to discharge while only depressing the trigger by like 1 MM.

Who's shoving a nail up in their gun to make it go off?

the nail/screw/pocket knife isn't the point.
nearly every striker fired handgun today has a "wall" that you have to overcome for the striker to engage the primer.
the nail/screw/pocket knife simply holds the trigger between resting position and the "wall". you could do the same with your finger. wiggle the slide or bump the mag and it goes BANG.
should it do that? it's a simple yes or no.
"why are you pulling the trigger in this test anyway?"
the trigger can be interfered with for any number of reasons.
holster retention
dropped
dirt/dust
wear/tear
you name it

I tend to disregard the videos that start with this test, but its not hard to see where that situation could arise when fighting, crawling, running, etc...
Even disregarding those videos, there's still plenty videos of holstered weapons discharging.

How many of those are pile-on videos for the clicks?
Internet is basically a big pile-on bandwagon party for any kind of bad news and tactical gun bros are as bad about stuff like this as white girls are about social drama.
How many other firearms in the world pass the move trigger back and then wobble poorly fit slide around till striker drops test?
I never was a fan of any striker pistol with a fully cocked striker because of stuff like this but at the same time, let's not act like guns are just going off all over the place.

Maybe so but I just dont care to carry it to prove it's safety. Someone else has to wear that badge of honor. Yes every gun can AD but people have talked about only one model the most for at least the last 7 years, and for that reason I'd rather steer clear just in case. I'd probably accept it as a gift...

Now that is funny

Me either, that's why I'm just shitposting on the internet about it. I don't own one. If I had to carry a striker fired gun without a manual safety it would be a glock, and in my mind the P320 offers nothing that Glock doesn't except a slightly better price point. I don't know how the M17/M18 thumb safety works but it probably just blocks the trigger which wouldn't matter for what the proposed failure mode is here.
I do wish I had one to compare with a glock and P365 side by side on my own desk and draw my own conclusions. It seems to me like getting it to go off requires a poorly fitted slide, pressure on the trigger, and slide jiggling. Countless people on this board ride around in their trucks and side by sides with loaded rifles and shotguns all the time, which are just simple sear disengagement away from going off, and think nothing of it.

Yes, this is the one with the shake awake feature.
But is it the one that goes off because of the drywall screw added to the point where ti trigger hit the wall??

The trigger never came close to hitting the wall. The video clearly showed there was plenty of room before the trigger hit the wall.

Why aren’t a bunch of special forces guys that have 10s of thousands of rounds through them in combat coming out crapping on them? I’m
Honestly curious?
A bunch of city cops and what not with issues? My local sheriff office is the one that had a cop unload his mag on his own vehicle for an accorn hitting it. Yet we are going to believe anytime someone with an unproven service history has an issue that’s the unquestionable truth?
I too am not a sig guy, but this ‘evidence’ I’ve seen is questionable at best.

The M17/M18 has a manual safety and really hasn't seen the failures like the P320.
Second, find me a soldier that has 10,000+ rounds through his pistol IN COMBAT.

So youre going to try to use the "experience" of the military, even though an airman literally just killed his buddy dicking around with a loaded pistol? How does this make sense

For emphasis…
ETA: this is the same airman that claimed he set his gun down in the holster and it went off.
I know the point you were try to make about military being superior with safety but just wanted to throw it out there
