Side by side shortage

In the market for a Mule or a Pioneer and can’t find one. Both dealerships said that there is a shortage because of the stoppage of production during Covid. Any of y’all baws experiencing this?

Yes. Tough finding outboards also. Two different dealers said they are having boats shipped in and they will send them the outboard at the point of sale. Essentially there is not enough inventory to sit on the lots.

Yes its real. I bought a new 1000xp Crew Ranger back in last March. That same model now is $2500 higher and hard to get on top of the price increase. The combination of selling a lot more units than normal when folks were idled at home with time to burn and production being slowed has really put a squeeze on the new SxS market. Plus side is my used one is worth more on the used market than what I gave for it new at the moment

Yep. Almost bought a truck camper but it had a bad jack. Reico titan was 2 months behind on back orders so I passed on that camper. I wasn't waiting 2 or more months to use my new toy.
Firestone air bags are behind in production. I got lucky and found a shop that had a set but I drove 3 hours round trip for the install.
I'm still waiting 8 months on a rod replacement through the warranty from Fenwick.

Only place I could find a Pioneer was at Brookhaven Honda. I suspect only the major/exclusive Honda dealers are getting shipments right now. At least you don’t have to worry about haggling. Just let them fill out the check for you.

Nope. Honda is releasing units to dealerships almost by model groups. Same for yamaha.
I went to friendly in BR the other day and they had 9 orange grizzly and 8 foremans. Asked my friend who works there what's up. He said they are coming in all the same model. Half have deposits on them. Half are sold in the next two days. Rinse repeat. He can't even buy the one he wants because they havent gotten one in months.
I asked him about maybe getting an Rmax for a weekend and was told no one who works there has even drove one outside the parking lot. Just crazy. Thinking this year I'll either get another little pioneer or rmax, but I want to drive the damned things first.

Yep the local Honda dealership (Columbia SC) can’t keep them on the floor. They’re selling them faster than they can get them. I’m in the market for a pioneer but no one has been able to keep one in stock long enough for me to get up there.

Expand search to include used. I picked up a 2019 Ranger Crew 1000XP "20 yr anniversary edition" in December. 750 miles on it. It's been awesome...just don't get to use it enough

I was in the market for a 1000-5 pioneer. No dealers within 300 miles had one. I went the FB market route found tons of them and couldn’t be happier with my purchase.
