It was my first time shooting a suppressed gun and I’m hooked. I had always read that you shouldn’t expect a suppressed firearm to be as quiet as portrayed on TV, but by God, that’s exactly how quiet it was with subsonic ammo. The brass hitting the concrete was literally the loudest thing.

My buddy is waiting on an integrated suppressor barrel to be finished for his 8.6mm Blackout. I am looking forward to shooting it too.

I shot the Full Auto UZI with supressor.

All you could hear is the brass hitting the concrete.

I’m waiting on a honey Badger / thunder chicken to be released to me.
I am interested in which sub sonic ammo works best in sound suppression vs impact power.

Do you know specifically what ammo you were shooting?

Shooting .300 blackout subsonic is like lobbing a bullet from a 45 pistol at 100 yards. It is movie quiet though.

I wouldn't make my first can a .300blk dedicated.

My Omega 30 cal can is pretty versatile. I can shoot 5,56 all the way up to a 300 win mag.

I use Underwood 194 gr max expansion for hogs and self defense. I bought about 300 rds of it while it was 1.20 rd. It’s crazy expensive now

I have 3 .30 cal can that are used from 5.56 to .308

Most versatile caliber can I own, although the dead air sandman is pretty heavy on an AR.

I remember my first time as well.

Was a GA Precision 308 w/a surefire suppressor at a Magpul Carbine class.

Try and fit more 2000s Gucci in that. Lol.

My Omega 30 cal

What's funny about the Omega is after all these years it's still a good can. Technology has changed a lot but that can still works great (came out 2015 iirc).

I’m about to get my first SBR 300 blackout and am considering the HB, the ghetto blaster and the DDM4ISR

How’d you decide on the HB?

Me too. Is there anything out now thats smaller and lighter with the same performance? I don’t need anything quieter but wouldn’t mind a more compact can.

I actually found one on Gunbroker in November that had a $1 starting bid. Put $2200 on it and forgot about it.
Two days later I got a “you won” notification. Never expected it.

My home defense is a .300 blackout. First can I bought was for the sole purpose of not blowing out the eardrums of my family if I ever have to shoot from inside my home. Works well enough for my 5.56.

I have a Daniel Defense ISR. It’s fun as shite to shoot. After 75yds the 220 grain drops like a brick. But still quiet enough with supersonic ammo not to wear hearing protection.

I switched from the ASR mounting system to a Plan B/ Rearden on my Omega 30. It shaved some length ,a little weight and definitely feels better on the end of my rifles.

Did the same and it’s a great setup.
