Jim Shockey and another guy were being stalked and charged by what he said was a sick lion last fall.
They had guns though and were able to shoot it as it charged.

Strangled? This guy would be badass of the century if he strangled a mountain lion to death and was able to walk away. It said they recovered his belongings. I’m thinking there is more to the story. More likely he one of those jogging waste bands with water bottles and some pockets and had a pocket pistol or a knife and the strangulation was to put it out of its misery. Maybe even just bear spray.
I can’t imagine strangling just a house cat with claws. It would tear you up.

My dad always says "might as well shove a noodle up a Bobcats arse in a phone booth" but I think that "beating off a cougar with your bare hands" is better
