Anyone of you baws know of a good glue to use on the rubber ear pieces on Costas?
I've got a pair that's about 10 years old and want to avoid sending them in for warranty work that they probably wouldn't honor

I sent a pair back last year for the same issue. They were several years old. Just filled out the form and uploaded pictures on my phone. Had a new pair in a few weeks. All i paid was shipping.

They'll replace those no problem. They acknowledge that pairs they made 5+yrs ago have an issue with the rubber parts interacting with Sunscreen, that's why most of the newer ones had the rubber strips minimized or redesigned.

Same problem on mine that are about ten years old. Only when it's hot.

I had the same problem with the old style corbinas with the rubber around the whole frame. When it came undone they sent me the new redesigned pair with much less rubber. I’ve found that the rubber that is there has performed much better so not sure if they updated the glue or rubber compound.

10 year old pair. Was given a choice of 4 replacement pairs.
New glasses on the way now.
Didn’t even have to pay processing or shipping fee.

On my third pair of tuna alleys bc of the rubber nose pieces coming off. I file a claim every two years and they replace at no charge. Some may think it’s a pain but I have an extraordinary amount of patience when it comes to deals and warranty work.

Always coming off. The rubber edges on the arms and the nose pieces. Happened on the last several pairs I have owned.

Send them in for repair. They pretty good with the rubber fix.

They honor it. There is a chance you won't get the same frames again though. I sent two pairs off this year. One came back the same the other was a discontinued frame so they gave me options on a different pair. I ended up with two brand new sets of glasses and zero charge.
As for glue the best I have used was arrow fletching glue. Saunders or fletch tite platinum.
I was told that the oil chemistry in some people's skin is cause. I have friends that never have this issue with their Costa's so who knows. It happens to me every couple years. I don't wear sunscreen either so I know it is not that.

The rubber on mine came off a while back, and they are about 10 years old.
I also recently cracked my lens.
What are the chances they would honor any warranty on that? I was going to send them in but i would expect them to not warranty it.

They will cry foul on the cracked lens; but may offer you new lens at a reduced cost (still high as giraffe nuts). They should address the rubber as normal warranty and either repair or replace the frame.

They will take care of you. A few years ago I cracked a lens. I think the replacement was about 70 bucks.

Sending mine back this week for the nose piece, super easy process.

Their return process used to be awful and you had to pay $10 just for a return number and then they would evaluate the condition. I never had a quote less than $80. I don't know what happened, but they have pulled a complete 180 and it's awesome customer service.
