A good friend of mine has one. All I can say is we've used it at the range and never had a problem with it.

Very nice budget 1911. I have personally never heard a bad thing about them from the few people I know that own them. they can be had for 4-5 hundred.

Great guns for the money. All steel and made by ARMSCOR which has decades of experience making 1911's.

Never shot a 10mm. Are there any Rock Island dealers around Central Louisiana?

Just check online dealers and Gun Broker and see what's available. Then choose your respective FFL and get the gun sent there.

Save your money a little longer and buy something you will be proud to own.

The savings for 'budget' never translate to long term satisfaction IMO.

Very good point here. I kinda wanted a budget 1911 before I decided to drop the coin for my Smith. I'm very happy that I did.

Personally, I don't like carrying high dollar customs in the woods and while working. A RIA or a SA range officer fits that bill, proud to own both. Depends of usage, cost, and reliability. Dont want to wreck a 3k+ custom.

They are not listed, but I thought I saw one at Security.

Front what I have read, they are solid 1911's.

IMO the people who have bought RIA's and other "budget" guns with years and even decades of great use out of them are probably very satisfied. And if they spent the savings on ammo and range time they are probably better shots.

Precision has an RIA 1911 for a rental. Thing looks like it's had a billion rounds through it. I shot 50 through it and it ran like a clock.

I knew you would love them. They're a little sloppy and run through anything.

They are that sloppy new? I figured that one was loose from being shot so much.

I don't buy that whole "1911's are tight precise guns" shite. I think they're better sloppy.
