Do any decent ones exist where you boat won't get smashed to bits by drunk morons?

go to the Bay St. Louis harbor. There are multiple bars/restaurants/shops accessible by boat. You can run around the bay or the Jourdan River.

The Phil's Marina Cafe (Tammany Yacht Club) in Slidell/Eden Isles

The Blind Tiger is in that newer harbor just south of I-10.

It does, but you’ll need a surface drive or shallow draft boat to get to it unless the water is high. Some of the sandbars on the way to Chimes are less than a foot deep and cross the whole river. Some pontoons get up there every once in awhile.

If you go to tunks there is an old lady waitress there. She has to be about 80 or 90.

Have her tell you her story about Nazi Germany.

She speaks like 5 or 6 languages.

Very very interesting.
