Monterey is not a very heavily populated place. I would bet they are related in some way.

Is Tiffee a common name in Concordia Parish or are these guys related?

Yes they are distantly related. The local sheriffs office has not confirmed that the remains were his yet, but everybody has pretty much assumed that is the case. I have heard that his grandpa that found him recognized the boots that he was wearing as his own when he walked upon him.

He was found next to that bayou tied to a tree and burned. Found dismembered also, don't know if it was done by a person or an aftereffect from wildlife.

Very sad, nobody deserves to have this happen to them.

It is sad, but actions do have consequences.

You live your life in a irresponsible manner you tend to keep irresponsible company. Bad people do bad things. This is very simple stuff parents teach at a young age for a reason.

I talked to someone last summer who knew him. From what they said, he has been in trouble his whole life but he couldn't wiggle out of punishment for the bears. His FB profile pick has him smoking a blunt while holding up a buck, so that gives you an idea of the lack of judgement he possessed.

I live in Monterey, its a sad situation for both families involved. IMO only rapists and pedophiles deserve to go out as slow as possible. There are lots of rumors going around and the facts will come out eventually. Please remember we are talking about someone's son, grandson, brother etc.

Bad situation all around. Paul Harvey said one time that if you want to get away with murder do it in Concordia Parish.

Yeah, I've heard that too, along with many other towns. It's an urban legend and not true.

Yep. I was watching First 48 on A&E this weekend with my 12 year old son. Almost all the people that get killed on there are into bad shite and running with bad people. I stressed to my son to pick his friend's wisely and that your actions have consequences.

If you want to get away with murder you need:

A continuously flooded swamp
A wood chipper
A couple of bales of peat
A metric shite ton of ammonia to clean the wood chipper

It isn't that hard.

No body, no murder.

Or pigs.

This. And don't spread all of the remains at the same location.

I saw one First 48 where some guys travelled from New England to Florida dropping dropping off body parts all along the way.

I saw that one too. It's my favorite show on TV.

Someone found the lady's head in a grocery store bag from New York in Florida. That's how they traced it back to perps was the bag.

There was still a murder, just no grounds for a charge without the body.

I remember Hartt as a chubby 8 year old playing baseball. Never once did I think about him over the last 27 years until now. What a sad deal. Happens too often in CP.
