Suspension & ball joints / hub wear. I've spent a couple hours researching & haven't made any headway. What I'm scared of is leveling. Then 5000 miles later having to replace the front end.

I've got 35k on my Ford since install and haven't noticed any difference in ride since day 1. I check my ball joints every so often and nothing looks out of the norm.

I really don't think you're changing the suspension geometry enough to wear parts out prematurely.

ask the guys who have installed a leveling kit on a new gm. everyone i know who has one had to replace their ball joints.

I have 20k miles on my 2"kit on my f150 with zero issues. My buddy has a 2.5" on his 2014 Silverado with 20k miles as well with no issues. Also the OP do it yourself. It's pretty easy.

I had 3.5" lift spacers on two Tacomas, and had zero problems with them over the maybe 150k combined

Rancho Quicklift
Would not recommend going this route. They are known to sag rather "quickly". I would go with a spacer over the Rancho QuickLift.

If you aren't taking your stock vehicle to an off-road park or Baja Desert racing, you shouldn't be tearing up your front end suspension. If you plan to take your $50k vehicle in some serious stuff then you need to invest more than a $100 kit

08+ models had a terrible design and needed to be changed at 50k miles under stock tires and suspension FWIW.

I'd make sure the leveling kit doesn't affect your warranty.

They have to prove that any aftermarket product caused the damage to whatever you added for them not to honor it.

They can't not replace an engine if it blows up because you added a Realtree air freshener.

Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act.

They can't void or reject a warranty claim unless they prove the aftermarket accessory caused the failure.

I had to replace them on my 09 Silverado twice. Granted that was over 120k miles, but still had to be changed. Truck 100% would have been in better shape over it's lifetime if that had never been tampered with along with not having 33" mud tires. Wasn't anything catastrophic, but it was obviously harder on the vehicle.

Again... 2008+ GM models had ball joint issues under OEM tire size and factory angles. My 2008 was bad at 50k miles under under a stock setup.

Very easy to do with basic tools, you don't need a spring compressor, also separating the UCA from the ball joint just takes a heavy hammer. There should be a flat spot on the UCA. That's where you hit.
Buy a can of PB Blaster and spray the bolts/nuts that will need to be removed.
