Need to get a leveling kit put on my new truck. Where is a good place to bring it in the Prairieville/Baton Rouge area? Thanks

Pretty easy to do yourself. Then just haul it down to any tire shop for an alignment.

IIRC, CSC on Airline does it the cheapest around. I've never been, but that's what I have heard

Seriously? I thought about doing that with my Tacoma but not sure how involved it would be.

a few tools and it can be done in a couple hours. I've installed a few recently.

If you really want someone else to do it, definitely call CSC on airline or the new 4wheelparts which is next door (may even be the same place)

eta: OP, really nice truck. Love the color

Just rent spring compressors from your local Autozone.

Thanks, yeah CSC is supposed to be installing the spray in bedliner so I'll check with them. Yeah, I've always had black and was really just wanting a color that would not show dirt/dust and every scratch like black

Didn't even need spring compressors on my '12. Very very easy.
May or may not be the case with a '14 or newer IDK.

I put one on my '97 taco and needed the compressor for that truck.

DO NOT GET THEIR LINER!

Durable, but fades within a year.

Also, do it yourself and bring it to gonzales tire in Prarieville for alignment.

Searchers uses them.

You actually don't need spring compressors since it's a coilover. The entire shock length will not change regardless of whether or not the spring is compressed.

Installation is pretty easy. The trickiest part will probably be disconnecting the ball joint - sometimes you have to use an air wedge or beat it with a hammer to have it open up.

But after that you just bolt the spacer to the top of the coilover and then compress the control arm on its own weight to reconnect the ball joint.

Also note if it's a 4wd it may require a differential drop to make sure there isn't too much tension on the CV joints. But I'm not 100% on this.

If all of this looks like jibberish to you, just use YouTube. You'd be surprised how many people post DIY videos of the exact thing you're looking for.

Good luck.

Any idea on about what it cost? I will be getting a new truck soon, and I am debating on bringing it somewhere or not.

DONT take the nut all the way off the ball joint. Loosen it up most of the way and then bang on it with a maul or hammer until it pops loose. I've done this a bunch and sometimes you really have to hit it hard a few times.

Recently purchased a1500 EcoDiesel 4x4. It sits a lil low & been thinking about a leveling kit also. What are the pros & cons. It's a everyday driver & spends a lot of time under a trailer.

Slightly higher ground clearance and looks good. That's about it.

I'm not sure if it's harder on your front suspension but you do have to get an alignment after installation which is $$$. So that's a con I would say.

I just had mine done a few months ago at a local shop, I had Bilstein 5100s installed, it was right at $450 and that included the 5100s and an alignment after they were done.

Suspension & ball joints / hub wear. I've spent a couple hours researching & haven't made any headway. What I'm scared of is leveling. Then 5000 miles later having to replace the front end.

I really don't think you're changing the suspension geometry enough to wear parts out prematurely.

Shouldn't have to rebuild anything just leveling out the front end, lots of good information on Bilstein 5100 adjustables or for ease of installation Rancho Quicklift strut assemblies.
