Jesus, that's a big girl. Looks like she's going to give birth very soon.

His life doesn’t mean more than
their safety to me.

My BiL would have died a few years ago if this guys wasn’t digesting a full blown squirrel. He stepped right on it and it didn’t even budge

Every time I read Canebrake, I get Cody Johnson ‘Diamond in My Pocket’ ear worm.

Saw this little feller the other day... he looked sad, so I went to give him a hug and he just hissed at me. Jerk. I pulled up next to him, and instead of just taking off... he repeatedly tried to bite my tire.

Normally I'd just kill it and move on, but I was feeling gracious and one with nature so I let him be... mainly because he was a few miles from anywhere I'd be laying on the ground or on his turf.

I'm not afraid of snakes, but then again, I've never walked up on a poisonous snake, either! Over the years, I've seen several snakes on my property, but they were all non-venomous. I would like to think I could handle the situation, but if I heard a rattle or walked up on a water moccasin with it's mouth wide open, I may go postal. Let's just pray that doesn't happen!

I like the way you say "the tractor"

like it's a normal thing that everyone owns.
