Question about selling a rifle

I've never thought about selling a gun but 2 years ago I bought a prettt high-priced rifle and basically sighted it in and put it in the safe. It was a spur of the moment deal where for some reason I thought I absolutely had to have it and now have completely decided I will never use it. I would sell it but I think it's worth too much money to just sit in the safe and never be shot. My question is how much does a gun depreciate when it leaves the store? If I threw the scope which is also pretty high-dollar in with it could I possibly get more for it ?

How much you want for it?

Sako rifles keep value well. You won't have an issue selling it. What is the optic?

I really don't know. There's nothing wrong with it. I just have a few other guns that are big enough to kill anything I would rifle hunt and lately it seems like when I get to rifle hunt I end up having to take the nephews or some other kids and think I just want to buy something smaller. I would like to get enough for it to pay a good chunk on a mountain ascent in a 6.5 or something similar. Most of my rifle hunting is just whitetail in Louisiana and I've got a bigger gun already if I ever get to go off. Hell maybe I should crazy I just think I want to get rid of it

Wood or synthetic stock?

Finnlite is synthetic stainless. I have killed so many deer with a late model 75 Finnlite. Cool gun.

The rifle may actually go up in price over time. I've seen some civil war era rifles that people were paying thousands of dollars for outdated technology.

Not sure if this is a bad joke or a bad troll. Either case it's bad.

I'm interested if the price is right.
