Have a five year old self-propelled Craftsman that is crapping out. This is partly because I have a 1/2 acre and the mower can't keep up.

Any recs for a self-propelled push mower that can take the wear and tear of a 1/2 acre?

shite. i'd recommend a honda. if you really want to spend some $, look at the Quick Walkbehind mowers. A couple grand, but faster and will last longer.

Honda
Honda
I know guys who like both of those models

Snapper. Avoid Toro's or other brand name mowers sold at the big box stores. They are made cheaper than the ones you get at the local reps.

Toro makes some real nice walks. Big box only carries the cheap Toro's. Find yourself a Toro dealer and if u find one get a model 20092. Self propelled, personal pace, cast aluminum deck with a 5 yr warranty! You'll love it!

as far as push mowers, I just buy a $100 one and use it until it craps out.

This mower is the ballz.

Do you have to purchase it online? It doesn't look like they have any dealers nearby.
