He's in intensive care but stable. He's still on the ventilator and heavily sedated. Everything is as good as it can be right now. Surgeon made the call to suddenly move the surgery up to today because they saw he wasn't improving on the medication. He told me afterwards that we brought him in JUST in time and that he was glad he moved the surgery up because there was very little blood flow.
We won't have all the details about resumed function to organs until later in the week but we are all hopeful. They will likely take him off the sedative tomorrow and see some progress. Hopefully he'll have a speedy recovery. Thanks to all

Prayers to Colton and the family. I have all the faith in the world in the power of prayer and the expertise of the doctors, nurses, and surgeons in neonatal care.
I've prayed every night since 10/5/11 for all children in NICU, their caretakers, and families.

Dear Merciful God in Heaven,
Guide the knife of Coltons surgeon.
Ease the anxiety of his parents and bless their family.
All who read this prayer humbly beg Thee.
For when 2 or more are gathered in Your name, You are with them.
Amen.

I generally don't pray much, but instead save up for serious favors. Just said one for you, your son and your family. I hope the little guy is doing better and that you and your family are okay too. Hang in there and remember those little babies are tough and hard to break.
Hang in there little Colton!
