Try using a magazine instead, may help?

I know the correct terminology, I choose to say clip. I grew up saying clip. It’s similar to asking someone for a crescent wrench or channel locks to me. I will never refer to them as an adjustable wrench or tongue and groove pliers and I’m always going to say clip.

My hand always hurts after I'm done practicing with my 22/45.

You can use the Tri adapter and one up your tape and stick 3 together.

That's the first I have even seen of that item. I didn't even know it existed.

I guess I will be ordering a few of those and some mags.

I have no experience with the particular rifle you are referring to, but the biggest downside, maybe the only downside to the Savages I’ve shot is the clip. (Btw I will always say clip and will never change). The Savage clips just don’t feed reliably in the bolt actions I’ve shot.

The 2 Savage bolt actions that I have are pretty new,and I have only shot maybe 200 rounds through each, and so far no problem feeding at all.
They are both Magnum rimfires, and the shape of the mag is different from the .22 LR that I just bought.

If there are several models of 22s,that come standard with a 50 round detachable magazine.
Yes, I imagine I would call them all 50/22s,instead of remembering the model number for each one.

I glanced over the thread and didn't see anyone flat out say it...

But I will.

Bro... I like you cause you got your first Colt 1911 and all, but you got to chill... You're making yourself look like a true gun idiot. The kind all of us other normal gun owners cringe over whenever we see the likes of you at a gun counter.

You walk into any self respecting gun store, not manned by a minimum wage part timer, and call any gun that's NOT a Ruger 10/22 a "10/22" and you should be corrected.

Just because you have this hair-brained idea doesn't make it correct or cool.

Why are S&W M&P 15-22's called that? They come with either 10 or 25rd mags.

I'm never going to call my Nylon 66's a 14/22 either.

Should I call my Keltec PMR30 a "30/22wmr"?

Where does it end in your mind?

Your thought process behind this is semantic at best and moronic at worst.

Just call the freaking gun what the manufacturer calls it and move on. Would you call your new Colt a 7/45?
Would you call a Colt Python a 6/357?

No! I literally know of no one who does that! Just stop it dude.

Classic weapons, I call them by their rightful name.
I call my nylon 66,just that, and my nylon 77 as well as my speedmmaster, and model 550. These are unique rifles that you can't buy at walmart.

I am doing my best, not to even be interested in any new rifles, especially .22s,since I already have about 20 of them that never get shot.
I have a bad habit of buying things I don't really need.
I need to be selling some,so my wife and daughters won't have to do that someday.

I have the same problem with guitars, except it was even worse. I finally broke myself of buying those, and haven't looked at another guitar in almost a year.
The thing is, I have more than most guitar stores, and need to get in gear to get rid of at least 100 of them too.

The Ruger 10/22 is a series of semi-automatic rifles produced by American firearm manufacturer Sturm, Ruger & Co., chambered for the .22 Long Rifle rimfire cartridge. It uses a patented 10-round rotary magazine, though higher capacity box magazines are also available. The standard Carbine version of the Ruger 10/22 has been in production continuously since 1964,[2] making it one of the most successful rimfire rifle designs in history, with numerous third party manufacturers making parts and accessories for upgrading and customization. In fact, the 10/22's aftermarket is so prolific, that a 10/22 can be built with completely non-Ruger made components

So the 10/22 isn't "classic" enough for your recognize that it is THE 10/22 and all others, although with similar actions and mag capacities, are not THE 10/22 and should just be called by the model designation that the manufacturer gives it?

The old ruger 10/22s are something special. I just don't happen to own 1.
The synthetic ones that they have at walmart now, aren't much different than the other 22s. I only bought anything there at all, just because of a cheap price. and buying something I don't really even need, just because it's cheap, wasn't the right thing to do.That's how you end up with too damn much of something.

Dude, you just don't get it do you?

See these little R's with the circle around them?

That means "Registered Trademark". In other words, no other manufacturer's firearm can be called a 10/22. Why would you think it's cool to do it?

Would you walk into a guitar shop and tell the person behind the counter "let me see that Les Paul guitar" while pointing at a Stratocaster, would you?

Well, by your logic, they're the exact same thing. They have 6 strings, 6 tuning knobs, a volume knob and a whammie bar. So do you call those 6/6/1/1's?

Sorry bro, but you're a fool.

Can you call other soft drinks a “coke” or all tissues a “Kleenex”? Asking for a friend.
