Go search on Amazon. There several big brands that have “travel” models.

Check out the Bass Pro Fish Eagle travel rod. Four section rods available in a 6'6" or 7' and comes with a zippered hard plastic case. I took one to Ft. Meyers in Feb. and it fit in my suitcase.

Just get it when you get there, regardless of where you are going there are plenty of places to rent or buy rods and tackle.

How nice of a rod are you wanting?
St. Croix makes a nice 4pc rod that can be placed in a rod tube. (make one cheaply out of PVC if you don't have one)
As has been mentioned, you can find 4pc rods at BassPro or Cabelas... prices range from $30-100
You shouldn't have any issue packing whatever reel you already have in your luggage

I've brought a rod or 2 everytime I used to travel to visit family and friends I no longer do. Now I pack 2-3 reels and order poles online or over phone to match the reels I brought. I order them for store pickup. Go to the store and grab the rod I bought. Don't take a chance that they will have in stock what u want order it and return if you like something that they have in stock more.
