You guys are argueing weapons when it was tactics that saved the guy and his wife. Chance favors the prepared mind.

See the lack of spread in the buckshot pattern in the wall...including the pass-through in the bathroom.

Care to share a single round from a revolver's spread with the rest of the class? I'll take 12ga pump in any close quarter situation. The racking of a shell diffuses 90% of all encounters.

Why any two handed shoulder fired gun has a pistol grip is beyond my understanding of shooting guns.

Sounds a lot like Obama's statistic, doesn't it?

That's quite a turd to lay down and walk away like, "What...?"

At least on this board.

Enforcing Martial law after Hurricane Andrew in a very unsavory neighborhood. I was sent out to clear the streets and came across some hard working individuals that did not vote for Romney. I politely asked them to go inside the homes they were loitering in front of, they got to the porch and started talking shite. I entered yard and told them they needed to go inside, they told me to frick off. I reached for side arm, they started laughing at me and asked me "hey GI Joe that's all they sent you here with? Better carry your arse back to base boy". At this point 8-11 unsavory Obama voters on porch and me on steps. Vehicle shows up to get me, they make some other comment, I radio I need back up ASAP, guys rack shells and you would have swore the Orkin man showed up.

I guess you have life experiences to back it up.

But in a home defense scenario, I never advocate for leaving a shotgun unloaded and relying on the racking to scare them.

Much easier to control and easier to shoulder.

We'll have to disagree on that.

I hate em. They don't feel nearly as natural as a regular hunting style stock.

Hell, we were lucky we had ammo. But we never rode around with round in chamber. I'm just trying to impress upon the youth and the sheltered the effectiveness of that sound. It seems to be recognized worldwide as your about to get f'd up with great pain.

We not talking bout inside the house? I've got the bases coeved. As posted before my bedroom arsenal for home defense: That's a thermal imaging scope on the AR with a detection range of over 1000 yrds. They can run, but they can't hide.

Soooo, out of curiousity, what would you go with?

Say you're laying in bed, and you hear someone trying to gain entry to your home, or they might already be in the home. What are you grabbing?

My Glock most likely. It's right there. Shotguns under the bed.
